[Letter to George F. Fitzgerald from Thomas Preston],

Handwritten letter from Thomas Preston to George F. Fitzgerald, written on 6 February 1898. He thanked Fitzgerald for sending him a card which contained information about the Bismuth Spiral. He writes that he has sent the negatives to Philosophy magazine for reproduction in their March issue. He is writing an account of his work so far and intends to send it to Philosophy magazine. He does not yet have a complete account to send to the Royal Dublin Society. He notes the retirement of G. C Foster and considers applying to fill the job vacancy, which could present opportunities for him and provide a better laboratory. 2pp.
