Description

Handwritten letter from Thomas Preston to George F. Fitzgerald, dated 23 January 1898. Preston wrote from his home in Bardowie, Orwell Park, Rathgar, County Dublin, about his scientific experiments. He thanks Fitzgerald for his letter and states that several things will be settled when he has the magnetic field. He writes that the variations may be due to reversal. He is inspecting schools and awaiting a return to his experiments. He is looking for 200 cells of storage battery and asks Fitzgerald if he knows anyone who can lend it to him. 3pp.
