[Letter to Dr. A. J. Foord from Thomas Preston],

Handwritten letter from Thomas Preston to RDS Librarian Dr A. J. Foord, written from his home at Bardowie, Orwell Park, Rathgar, County Dublin. Preston writes that he encloses the manuscript of his paper about Radiation Phenomena, which he describes as the second part of a former paper printed in the Transactions which is of a “most important character.” He trusts that Ford will “rapidly” proceed with the printing because the results are to be released “as soon as possible.” He writes that the figures are made of swiper [?] straight lines and can be “set up by the compositor,” which means that there will be no delay or extra expenses. 2pp.
