Description
This extinct paenungulate herbivore was a prehistoric rhinoceros-like mammal that is related to modern animals such as elephants. The skull is 75 centimetres long, and is from an adult male. The long pointed horns show traces of blood vessels near their bases. Arsinoitherium lived during the late Eocene and early Oligocene in northern Africa, from 36 to 30 million years ago.
