A George III, baluster-shaped coffee pot, with scrolled spout and handle fretted with scrolling acanthus leaves, beading, the hinged domed top with plain knop finial, the spreading circular foot, gadrooned border engraved with an armorial, the base inscribed The gift of the Silk Mercers of the City of Dublin to the Revd Peter Chaigneau Assistant Secretary Dublin Society 1768 in an ebonised glazed tabletop display cabinet with silvered presentation inscription plaque.
