Handwritten letter to William Francis from John Tyndall. The main bulk of the letter contains Tyndall’s attempt to bolster Francis's spirit, who, in a previous letter stated he “was almost used up.” He encourages him to persevere and to have courage. He also mentions a paper by H.G. Magnus which he has sent to Bunce Jones for criticism. 4pp.
