Description

Wooden statue of the top half of a woman's body, known as the "Bust of Kaaper's Wife". Ka’aper was an ancient Egyptian scribe and priest who lived between the late 4th Dynasty and the early 5th Dynasty. The female statue was found in Kaaper's tomb in the Saqqara Necropolis so it is believed to be his wife.
