Description
Statue of a male scribe seated with his legs crossed. The statue was discovered at Saqqara, Egypt, in 1850. It dates to either the 5th Dynasty or the 4th Dynasty.
It is a painted limestone statue, the eyes inlaid with rock crystal, magnesite (magnesium carbonate), copper-arsenic alloy, and nipples made of wood.
