Description
In Charles II style, the large openwork crown finial engraved and chased with the Royal Arms, the sides engraved with various coats-of-arms and symbols including that of the Royal Dublin Society and the Guinness family, the latter which reads SPES MEA IN DEO (My hope is in God); further engraved with trailing foliage and with an inscription to TO YE ROYAL DUBLIN SOCIETY 1903 THE GIFT OF THE RT HONBLE ARTHUR, BARON ARDILAUN (PRESIDENT).
