Dear Sir,
Dr. Hill has handed me your letter, and I now send you herewith 50 copies (all I have at present) of Rules for Observers. As soon as the printers can strike off a fresh supply, the balance shall be forwarded. It is very encouraging to know that you expect such success in getting observers. Mr Brown, of the Belfast Natural History Society, also hopes to induce several as members of that association take an interest in the work. So Ireland should produce very valuable results. I hope our efforts in England and Scotland may be equally successful.
Yours very truly,
John Gunn
