Description

Handwritten letter to William Francis from John Tyndall. In this letter Tyndall thanks him for his opinion on a reply he wrote to a paper by Alexander Adie. He claims it saved him from an “unintended mistake.” He goes on to share his opinion of Adie’s work and outlook but states that he doesn’t wish to speak badly of the man. He leaves it to Francis’ discretion whether or not to add the enclosed new reply into the magazine instead. 4pp.
