Description

Handwritten letter from John Tyndall to Dr William Francis. Tyndall complains at length about the ongoing works produced by Reuben Philips on a jet of steam. He also speaks about translating a work by Schwerd which he feels would be valuable to “English science” but is put off by the costs associated with printing the plates especially. He also shares his feelings on their continued work on the Scientific Memoirs.
