The unidentified subject depicted bust length, directed right in three-quarter profile, gazing front, bearded and slightly smiling, wearing a black doublet embellished with black silk passmenterie and pinked to expose a red chemise beneath, and a white, pleated and goffered ruff, set against a black background; unsigned.
