pp.2
Dear George,
I trust you had a good voyage & found all well at home. As for me I have had a wretched cold. & on Saturday I was forced to go to bed with a sharp attack of malaria. I am only getting on it now.
I have had torturing of it at times for some weeks & suppose I drank some bad water out golfing.
I fear that I was rather irritable in any manner when you were here. Which has not of late years, I am told, been characteristic of me. I wish I had seen you for longer. But it could not be helped. I hope to see you in December.
[Marcus?] does not go to St Paul till the end of October.
I have not seen sun clearly all Fitzgerald
Yours faithfully,
