W. Ramsay encloses a letter he believes will be helpful to Fitzgerald and apologises for delaying his own correspondence. My dear Fitzgerald,
I enclose you a letter which will give you what you want, I think. I have intended to write to you for ages, but have put it off. I am sorry that you can't come up for the Castle Soiree, but I suppose you can't. You might join us on a call the first time you are up. I am overwhelmed with many things; unfortunately the [up?]. The ether aren't making much progress. I have tried to determine the heat of vapour of ether, but without much success. I must have another go at it. With thanks again.
Yours Sincerely,
W Ramsay.
