Description
Handwritten letter from Sir Oliver Lodge, Red Lion Court, Fleet Street, E.C., to George F. Fitzgerald, dated 26th March 1890. Francis responds to Fitzgerald's agreement to be on the title page of the Philosophy Magazine. 2pp.
Transcription:
"Dear Sir
I was much gratified to learn from your letter to Sir William Thomson that you had kindly acceeded to our request to allow your name to take the place of that of my friend, the late Sir Robert Kane on the Title page of the Phil. Mag., and I now forward a copy of the [?] for your approval. Sir William will I have no doubt have assured you that no monetary [?] will be incurred, nor will you find it take up much of your time; all I expect is that when you find me going wrong, you will kindly give me the benefit of your advice.
