Dear Mr. Fitzgerald
I was very pleased to hear from you that you thought my paper of some use. I sent by a mail or so after the full paper, a few pages additional containing some more examples, one of which I thought well worth adding [?] that on the transformer where hysteresis [?] are all considered.
The principle in method in the paper will enable anyone who has grasped it to transform all the quantitative relations relating to measurements and comparisons where a [?] method with a galvanometer is used for steady currents to the corresponding relations for alternating currents, when a telephone would take the place of a galvanometer.
[diagram and detailed equations follow]
Is it worthwhile writing a paper about these kind of illustrations of the method with experimental details of trials results or is is a mistake to ride the idea to death?
Very many thanks for the trouble you have taken about the publishing of the paper. I don't mind where it appears as long as it may be read by those people to whom it may be of use.
yours very sincerely,
Thomas R. Lyle
