Handwritten letter from 2 Grove Park, Liverpool, to George F. Fitzgerald, dated 8 November 1896. Lodge discusses the plans for a practical exam and a Physics Society meeting, as well as mentioning an experiment regarding friction.

I wrote about dates to A. Schuster asking him to fix after 16 December for pract exam, but I have not heard a reply.
As to the Phys Soc it is very a [n?] to gather together the few persons in Liverpool who care about Physics. On occasion we have had 600 but usually about 16. No need to take trouble and give a formal communication but if you could give us a talk about something it would be appreciated. Anything you have on hand at the time would do.
Is anything further known about the death of of Bp. of Killaloe and his wife? As told it looks as if there might have been some sort of telepathy, [a?] the coincidence, but I suppose nothing will be known?
I see you suggest that the friction between air and a liquid may depend on whether the liquid evaporates or not. Hence part of the effect of oil on water perhaps. There can hardly be much [h?] in the film which is effective in [g?] the water to wind.
