Many thanks for interesting note. I enclose one from Bond to the same effect which may be burnt or returned. He like others did not know of P's ignorance and is surprised. I had been independently writing to him to get you to write an article on the paper of Preece's. But I had not thought of a leader. I think he may [?] feel damned at a leader. But it's a great [?] to suffer that P will show fight if attacked by you. He collapses when pricked and has withdrawn lots of papers by advice. The folly is that he will go on evicting them instead of paying a person with proper brains for the job. I quite acquiesce in you [r?] on the Dictionary. The treatise of the [function?] must be sequential and systematic in a way no Dictionary can be. I had been coming round to the same sort of view myself.
