J.J.T. has got results all right; and has he now tells me put the [s?] plate in a box inside the vacuum i.e. in the cathode rays and got nothing. He says both a cathode and phosphorous are necessary. I tried to find attempts to make Hertz waves to pump light waves through the box on to the plate, but that failed. I thought it was superimposed Λ and λ. I don't know what it is now. All the better!
Yours,
OJL
I do hope that the lung trouble with your children is nothing serious. It's always alarming. At one time we had a lot of trouble of that sort."
