Handwritten letter from Sir Oliver Lodge, 2 Grove Park, Liverpool, to George F. Fitzgerald, dated 6 January 1895. Lodge discusses a hypothesis that both Fitzgerald and F.W.H. Myers came up with. 1p.

Transcription:
"M d Φ
It is very interesting that you [?] have hit upon the same hypothesis that Myers has been working out for some time now. The sorting demons can do nearly all the observed trials, and that is what has seemed to us the most likely direction for [g?] after a theory. I shall send your letter on to Myers and perhaps he may send you his own crude attempts in that direction. He will be much pleased that the idea has struck a [p?] after even so small acquaintance with the phenomena.
