Still life with four dead gamebirds. A grey partridge hangs by its proper right leg above a falconry perch, from which a rufter hood hangs, and a fringed cloth is draped over the edge; above the partridge a small, short-beaked gamebird hangs by its neck; to the left of the composition, a small, long-beaked bird lies on the bell of a hunting horn and a small, short-beaked bird lies on a game bag; behind the falconry perch are (what appear to be) a hawking cage and a spring box cage propped against a wall; the entire arrangement set against a dark, non-descript interior.
